3 Courses/ 180 days
Courses are planned, taught, managed, and reported by instructors to parents. Some courses are "at your own pace" with semester turn in dates. Parents are still required to interact with and supervise their students' effort and time management.
Student Support: Although courses are aligned with national standards they are also curated according to your personal interest and educational goals. The older you are, the more it looks like picking classes for a college requirement. Students who wish to take college entrance exams will have their studies align to support preparation for their choice exams or may take an additional course specifically for exam study skills.
Parent Support: Two additional course strategies can be provided to help parents create parent led lessons plans. Course strategies can be developed from any parent purchased curriculum or from any membership resource. Submission deadlines do apply.
Lessons will be taught and managed from board approved systems to maintain the integrity and growth of the organization and it's mission. Requests for exceptions will be reviewed on a case by case basis and final decisions will come from the academy’s board.
Academy Benefits: Access to premium commercial & nonprofit educational programs and services. Instruction schedules are created according to individual student goals and academy course schedules. Group discounts for services and programs. Local workshops and drop in courses.
Parent and/or student education coaching & resource support are available by appointment.
